2017 Colors from Pantone
Check out the new 2017 colors from Pantone! Finally, some colors we can get on board with and actually use! These are yummy…
Look at the rich warm colors–It makes you want to drink it all in.
Pantone has named 81 forecasted colors specifically for home and interiors. Lee (Leatrice) Eiseman, executive director of the Pantone Color Institute, designated 9 different color palettes that the company predicts will be on trend for 2017. These palettes are full of depth bringing the outdoors in.
Gotta say, I wasn’t a fan of the last couple of the Colors of the Year. 2016, Rose Quartz and Serenity, felt too much like baby nursery colors to use in interiors. 2015 Color of the Year, Marsala, had a dated throw back feeling to the 80’s burgundy. But I can’t wait to embrace the 9 Color Palettes:
-Day Dreaming – Light and weightless
-At Ease – Grayed down neutral
-Native Instincts – Mix of colors representing old artifacts from different countries
-Florabundant – Rich floral hues – there is a lot of drama with the mix of these sumptuous colors.
-Acquired Taste – Appreciation of the different mix of colors
-Forest Bathing – A walk in the woods
-Reminiscence – Traditional shades with a splash of new
-Raw materials – Representing the re-purposing of materials
-Graphic Imprints – Black and white with fun bright hues thrown in.
